This Privacy Policy explains what information Roveltia ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by PrintBusters, handles when you visit roveltia.com (the "Site"), contact us, buy digital products, or use the Roveltia companion app (the "App").

Roveltia is operated by PrintBusters. For privacy matters, you can contact us through the contact form at roveltia.com/contact.

Our approach is simple: we collect as little personal information as we can, we use it to operate Roveltia, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers four main situations:

• visiting the Site;
• using browser tools published on Roveltia subdomains, including compress.roveltia.com;
• contacting us through the Site;
• buying paid digital products; and
• using the Roveltia companion app.

2. Information we collect

Site visitors

The Site is mainly informational. We offer optional Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and how pages are used. Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics cookies. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the Site.

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and similar request metadata in server logs. We use this information for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and normal operations.

Users of Roveltia Compress

Roveltia Compress at compress.roveltia.com is a browser-based image compression tool that is designed to process files locally on your device.

During normal use, image files you choose in Roveltia Compress are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to Roveltia servers for compression.

Like the rest of the Site, requests to load pages, scripts, styles, fonts, and similar assets may still involve technical request data such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and server log metadata needed to deliver and secure the service.

If Roveltia Compress stores preferences or temporary state in your browser, that storage remains on your device unless you clear it through your browser settings.

Customers who buy paid products

Paid Roveltia products are sold through Lemon Squeezy. When you check out, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes payment and billing information under its own privacy policy.

We receive purchase-related information from Lemon Squeezy needed to confirm your purchase, provide product access support, and maintain transaction records, such as your name, email address, product purchased, order status, and purchase reference or license data.

Roveltia does not receive or store your full payment card number. Card payment details are handled by Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors.

People who contact us

If you use our contact form, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.

3. How the Roveltia app handles data

The App is designed to work locally with your turntable, not through a Roveltia cloud backend.

During normal turntable control and capture use, we do not receive your media, presets, Bluetooth control data, or capture history on our servers.

Local storage

Capture presets, app settings, and media you create are stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, or save them somewhere else.

Media stored on your device may be included in your device backups, cloud photo library, or other services depending on your device settings. Roveltia does not control those services.

Media files

Photos, still frames, GIF/WebP exports, and video captures are processed on your device.

We do not upload your media to our servers.

The App may request permission to save captures or exports to your device, storage, or media library according to your device settings.

Bluetooth

The App connects directly to compatible Roveltia hardware over Bluetooth LE.

In normal use, Bluetooth communication stays between your phone and your turntable. We do not receive Bluetooth control traffic from that connection.

4. Device permissions

To provide core App features, the App may request the following permissions:

Bluetooth

Used to scan for, connect to, and control compatible Roveltia hardware.

Location, Android only

Some Android versions require location permission for Bluetooth scanning.

Roveltia does not use this permission to determine, track, or store your physical location.

Camera

Used to capture product photos and videos inside the App.

Microphone

The App does not request microphone access and does not record audio.

Storage or media library

Used to save captures, exports, still frames, GIF/WebP files, and videos according to your device settings.

Sensors

If enabled, sensors may be used locally for features such as camera leveling assistance.

Sensor data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to us.

5. How we use information

We use the information described in this Privacy Policy to:

• operate, secure, and maintain the Site;
• deliver purchased digital products;
• provide purchase support;
• respond to support, licensing, or general inquiries;
• prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access; and
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

6. Legal bases for processing

We process personal information only where we have a legal basis to do so.

We use purchase, license, download, and support information to perform a contract with you. We use technical server-log data for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, maintaining, and diagnosing the Site. We keep certain purchase and transaction records where required for tax, accounting, legal, or regulatory obligations. Where device permissions are requested, they are controlled by your device operating system and can usually be changed in your device settings.

7. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate Roveltia.

Google Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and understand how the Site is used.

Lemon Squeezy

Used for payment processing, tax handling where applicable, checkout, and digital product delivery for paid tiers.

Hosting provider

Our hosting provider may process server logs and technical request data needed to serve the Site, maintain security, and diagnose operational issues.

Email delivery

Support replies and transactional messages may be sent through our configured email or SMTP provider.

Embedded video

We may embed product demonstration videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may process technical request data when you load or play these videos.

MakerWorld

Printable files and the firmware may be distributed through MakerWorld under MakerWorld's own terms and policies.

App stores

If the App is distributed through app stores, installation, updates, and store-level data may be handled under the relevant app store policies.

App Store privacy labels or Google Play Data safety disclosures should be read together with this policy and are intended to reflect the same data practices.

8. International processing

Some third-party services we use may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, those providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Data retention

Typical retention periods include the following:

• purchase and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and legal obligations;
• support messages are kept while needed to handle the request and maintain support history, then deleted or archived;
• server logs are kept according to hosting and system retention settings, and may be kept longer where needed for security investigation; and
• app media, exports, presets, and local settings remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the App, or move them elsewhere.

10. Cookies

The Site uses optional Google Analytics cookies and similar technologies to measure aggregate site usage. Google Analytics does not load unless you choose Accept in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies on the Site. The Site may also use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Site, checkout, security, or contact forms.

Legal basis: Your free consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Without your acceptance, Google Analytics is not loaded.

Cookie settings

Roveltia Compress does not currently rely on advertising or analytics cookies. If browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies are used there, they are intended only for strictly necessary operation or local user preferences unless we clearly state otherwise.

11. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another region with privacy rights, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Greece, this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

We may need to verify your request before responding.

12. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we control, but no online system can promise absolute security.

App data that remains on your device is protected by your device security settings.

You are responsible for keeping your purchase confirmation, download access, email account, and device secure.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

The updated policy applies from the date it is posted. If a change materially affects how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice where required.
