FAQ

Common questions

Build, firmware, and checkout.

Why pay if Roveltia is free to build?

The hardware files and firmware are free to download and build, allowing you to test manual Bluetooth control. Roveltia Capture is an optional in-app purchase that unlocks the automated product-photo workflow inside the app.

Why Roveltia instead of a cheap display turntable?

Cheap display turntables usually spin continuously. Roveltia is built for repeatable product-photo workflows: indexed frame capture, step movement, settle delay, auto return, presets, and Bluetooth control.

Which tier should I get?

Start by building the free hardware. If you want automated product photos, unlock Capture via the companion app. Developer is for ESP32 firmware work.

Should I buy on the website or in the app?

Capture (€24.99) is an in-app purchase in the Roveltia app. Roveltia Developer (€129) is sold on this website through Lemon Squeezy. They are separate purchases.

I bought Developer on the website. How do I get my files?

Check your Lemon Squeezy receipt email for download links and delivery instructions. Keep that email for future access.

What exactly is free?

The free download includes the printable files, firmware, and free app support for manual Bluetooth control, continuous movement, and manual step testing.

What do I get with Capture?

Capture is unlocked via in-app purchase and enables the automated workflow: indexed still capture, single-shot auto-step, 360° video auto-stop, presets, home and set-zero controls, settle delay, auto return, and tuning controls.

What is the output?

Capture can produce indexed still sequences, GIF/WebP exports, single-shot stepped photos, and 360° showcase video.

Can I use the app-driven capture workflow today?

Not yet through public app stores. The companion app is built and tested, with Android and iOS listings being prepared. Capture unlocks the automated app workflow when the app launches publicly.

Do I need Roveltia Developer?

Only if you want to edit the ESP32 firmware source.

What does the paid tier license include?

Paid tiers are for using Roveltia in your own photography workflow. Business photography use is included.

You can photograph products for your own business or clients. You cannot sell Roveltia hardware, kits, files, firmware, or modified versions. Full legal terms are in our Terms of Use.

Do you ship a turntable?

No. You print the parts and source the electronics yourself.

How do I flash the ESP32?

Connect over USB and follow the included flashing guide.

How does Roveltia Compress fit the product-photo toolkit?

Roveltia Compress is the free local batch-compression step after capture. Use it to resize and convert product photos or 360° frames to WebP, AVIF, JPEG, or PNG in your browser before uploading them to a store or marketplace.

Open Roveltia Compress batch image compressor.
